Description: Bicolor pseudochromis are a vibrant, hardy fish that are a perfect choice for beginner aquarists. This fish has no problem eating, as it will happily eat any dry or frozen food. This dottyback can be found around coral reefs in Indonesia and the Western Pacific. They are popular for their outstanding colors. The anterior half of the fish is vibrant purple, while the posterior half of the fish is bright yellow. Although this fish stays on the smaller side, it packs a punch with its boisterous attitude. This fish will become aggressive and quite territorial once it establishes itself in the aquarium. If the tank is small, do not mix this fish with similarly colored tankmates (ex: Royal Grammas). It is also advised to keep only one dottyback per tank. Mixing different species of dottyback in the same tank will result in fighting. A tight-fitting lid is recommended, as this fish can jump out of the tank.
