Sonic’s NEXT S12 XD is their advanced toolset. It’s noticeably different from other toolboxes (like the S12) because of its depth. This thing is 24.8” deep, giving you ample storage capacity for all your tools.
This one is my favorite size unless you’re going for something bigger. I like how you can outfit this one perfectly with XD foam inlays or even the tool grid system - it’s versatile in that sense. As with the other NEXT toolboxes, the worktop is built from reinforced stainless steel with a drip edge to prevent fluids and tools from rolling off the work surface. This toolbox isn’t wet painted but has a premium powder coating that’s durable and able to stand up to the elements.
The ergonomic design of the drawers taken from the MSS+ line and the door-blocking system for anti-tilt protection make this thing a top pick in my eyes.
Despite all of the badging and branding on these toolboxes, I love the stoutness and quality of this line. I will definitely have this in my garage.
