Threes Turning Four Class
Pawpaws
The Pawpaw class meets from 9:15 am until 11:45 am with a choice of three-five weekly attendance days (subject to availability).
The Pawpaw class is a world of expanded possibilities. Children increase their independence and learn about collaborative play. They also begin their exposure to early literacy and math skills. This class is led by two teachers who continue to create a nurturing environment for experiential learning and purposeful play.
Teaching about holidays and affinity months is an essential part of Unity’s curriculum that supports fostering cultural awareness and social development. By exploring diverse traditions, our children not only learn about the significance of these days, but also gain a deeper appreciation for different cultures and communities as well as developing their own cultural identity. With the help of cultural ambassadors, we engage in play-based activities—like crafts, stories, and songs—to encourage creativity, promote empathy, and enhance social skills as our children share and learn together. This approach helps build a sense of belonging and respect, laying a foundation for global citizenship, where we recognize how our actions impact the world around us.
